In 2025, government purchases from the self-employed in Tatarstan increased by more than 41%

The most popular types of activities among the self-employed in Tatarstan in 2025 were repair and construction, transport and information services, as well as the IT sector.

As of January of this year, the number of self-employed citizens in the republic amounted to about 447 thousand people, which is more than 26% more than in the same period last year.

In total, in Russia last year, the volume of government purchases from the self-employed amounted to more than 48.3 billion rubles. This is four times more than it was a year earlier. At the same time, the number of self-employed people who signed contracts increased by almost 30% over the year, exceeding a total of 12,000 suppliers. 

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with subordinate support institutions, provides the self-employed with various government support measures, including certification and product promotion, assistance in launching products on marketplaces, participation in fairs, as well as educational and consulting support. Assistance is provided under the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
