As part of the opening of the AAOIFI representative office in Kazan, a round table was held on the development of partner finance

"The AAOIFI Representative Center officially begins its work. The Center will become a key international expert platform providing methodological and consulting support, the implementation of AAOIFI standards, the development of professional dialogue and the formation of professional approaches to partner financing, including in the CIS countries," said Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

The welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the representative office was delivered by Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Head of the Republic noted that the opening of the AAOIFI representative center in Kazan forms an important basis for the development of this area.

"AAOIFI is a recognized leader in the formation of standards that are applied in dozens of countries and serve as the basis for transparency, stability and trust in the financial market," said the Head of the Republic.

The Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, delivered a video greeting at the opening ceremony.

"I hope that in the end this will help attract investments and realize the potential of partner financing for the benefit of the Russian economy. In addition, I hope that over time the center in Kazan will become a platform for the exchange of experience and interaction of AAOIFI with other countries, not only with Russia," said the chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Amir Nader, Director of the AAOIFI Center for the Promotion of Islamic Finance, launched the work of the office in a video message.

"The office will serve as a center for the development of Islamic financial markets in Russia and the CIS countries, the development of partner financing, trade standards and education. It will also serve as a platform for attracting international investment and strengthening cooperation. Dear participants of the round table, from this moment on, I declare the center open!" said the speaker.

Sheikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the AAOIFI Board of Trustees, Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of Russia, Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Alexey Guznov, State Secretary and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Director and other participants of the round table also delivered welcoming speeches.

The participants of the round table noted that the opening of the AAOIFI Representative Center in Kazan is an important step in the development of Islamic finance in the country and the beginning of a new stage, which confirms the republic's readiness to work according to high international standards and integrate into the global financial system. The adaptation of AAOIFI international standards and the development of the regulatory framework in Russia will create a reliable and transparent system of partner financing that will help attract investment.

The representatives of the CIS countries confirmed their willingness and intention to continue cooperation, as well as exchange experience in the development of partnership finance at the international level.

In conclusion, Sheikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed his confidence that the Kazan representative office will become one of the starting points for the development of partnership (Islamic) finance not only in Russia, but also internationally, and primarily in the CIS countries.
