UAVs are being actively introduced in Tatarstan

28 January 2026, Wednesday

In 2025, most of the UAVs used were used by the republic's forest fire stations to protect forests from fires during ground-based monitoring. Their use by services in monitoring forests is an effective tool for timely detection of fires and assessment of the situation in hard-to-reach places.

Due to the control carried out by firefighting measures, as well as the interaction of all structures and organizations, emergency situations related to forest fires can be avoided in the Republic of Tatarstan. All fires have been localized and eliminated in a short time, the transfer of fire to the forest fund and forest fires in 2025 is not allowed.

As part of the implementation of federal state forest control (supervision) and forest protection in forests located on forest fund lands, state forest inspectors conducted 10 control (supervision) and preventive measures with the help of UAVs, taking into account restrictions, and conducted 15 patrols within the framework of forest protection.
