"Over the years of conducting sociological surveys, significant experience has been accumulated, which is relevant, in demand and used by the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan," Roman Amirkhanov emphasized.

The participants of the sociological study of corruption are citizens over the age of 18 who have been living in the Republic of Tatarstan for more than 2 years. The sociological research is carried out by the method of an individual formalized face-to-face interview. The survey is conducted anonymously.

"78.2% of the respondents are aware of the measures taken by the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan to combat corruption. The survey participants mostly give a positive assessment of the work of the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan (82.6%)," according to Roman Amirkhanov.

Most of the respondents are confident in the possibility of reducing corruption through the use of anti-corruption measures.

Among the proposed measures to reduce corruption in society, every second respondent pointed to the need to "tighten anti-corruption legislation" (53.5%) and "strictly control the allocation and expenditure of budget funds" (50.2%).

Following the briefing, the Deputy minister noted that "Opinion polls are a tool for feedback from the public, allowing us to get a "response" to the anti-corruption measures taken. The positive dynamics over a number of years according to the indicators of the sociological survey indicates the effectiveness of the state anti-corruption policy implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan."
