New business support tools discussed in Tatarstan

The event was attended by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan (CCI RT), the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, the public organizations "Business Russia" and "Support of Russia", as well as the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting participants discussed the pace of development and results of small and medium-sized businesses in Tatarstan over the past year. Priorities and directions in 2026 were also outlined, including a set of government support measures and new tools available to businesses in the context of a changing tax system.

Special attention was paid to events related to the informatization of regional business on tax changes, the intricacies of working with VAT and measures available in the republic to support small and medium-sized businesses.

Taking into account the opinion of the republican business community on tax changes, proposals for improving tax policy at both the federal and national levels were announced at the meeting. The initiatives will be worked out with the State Duma, the State Council of the Republic and the tax authorities.

"Our joint task is to ensure the most comfortable business conditions in the republic, to support the determination of the business to launch new projects and develop production facilities. To do this, new products are being formed in close cooperation with you [business associations], urgent business issues are being resolved promptly, which ensures the further development of the SME sector in difficult conditions," Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said.

Following the meeting, representatives of the business community noted the constructive dialogue between the department and entrepreneurs and expressed confidence in further effective cooperation to improve the business support system in Tatarstan.

It should be recalled that since 2026, small businesses have switched to new conditions for VAT and patent system of taxation. To minimize the tax burden, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, launched the Tax Literacy School project in November 2025.
