One third of Tatarstan's individual entrepreneurs are young people under the age of 35. This figure is higher than the proportion of young sole proprietors in the country as a whole, which is 25%.
About 34 thousand people in the republic are sole proprietors under the age of 35. In general, since the beginning of this year, more than 8.3 thousand owners of small and medium-sized enterprises under the age of 35 have registered in Tatarstan.
As of the beginning of September, about 180,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are operating in the republic, of which more than 113 thousand are individual entrepreneurs (IE).
About 10% of all young sole proprietors in Tatarstan (3.3 thousand entrepreneurs) are employed in the creative industries. In general, this figure in Russia is 11%.
Let us recall that at the end of June 2025, a strategic session on the development of the creative economy was held at the coordination center of the Government of the Russian Federation under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during which the need to build effective support for creative companies was outlined. For this, the need for a clear definition of the boundaries of industries was outlined: selection of OKVED and their subsequent connection with the registers of enterprises.
Among the entrepreneurs of the republic over the age of 35, about 3.6 thousand sole proprietors (4.5%) are employed in the creative industry. In Russia, this figure is 5%.
Among Tatarstan's business youth under the age of 25, the share of "creatives" was 12.4% (over 13% in the Russian Federation as a whole). Thus, the share of creative industries among young entrepreneurs is higher than among older ones.
The press service of the SME Corporation noted that Russian youth under the age of 25 are less likely to choose the blogosphere as a business destination than entrepreneurs aged 26-35 (5.8% versus 7.5% in Russia). This suggests that the peak of blogging as the main type of entrepreneurial activity has passed, and young entrepreneurs are starting to focus more on other creative areas.
Thus, the share of bloggers in Tatarstan among young people aged 25-35 (over 4%) is higher than among young entrepreneurs under 25 (4%).
