Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a meeting of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on Investments, which was held on September 4 in Vladivostok.
The key theme of the event was the introduction of a National Model of targeted Business Conditions. The meeting was attended by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development, and Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of ASI, who presented the current status of the formation of a National Model at the federal level and the results of work on the creation of regional roadmaps to achieve targets.
Also Leonid Kazinets (NOZA Association) and Pavel Snikkars (PJSC T Plus) announced key initiatives to reduce the time and cost of connecting to utility networks, which is one of the most sensitive issues for businesses.
The second block of the agenda was devoted to the strategy of attracting foreign investments, especially from Southeast Asian countries. The view of international investors was presented by the heads of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia and Foreign Companies, who voiced proposals to increase the attractiveness of the Russian market.
As part of the preparation of the National Model, ASI conducted a comprehensive study of business conditions in four regions of the Russian Federation: Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, Sakhalin and Nizhny Novgorod regions. The assessment is aimed at identifying the procedural and legal difficulties of doing business at various stages of the life cycle of enterprises.
Midhat Shagiakhmetov noted that: "The national Model is our strategic guideline. It will allow all levels of government to focus on priorities for improving the business climate of the republic, systematically implementing best practices. Our key task is to make Tatarstan's investment climate as competitive as possible through clear and simple procedures, as well as effective support measures at all stages of business life: from launch to scaling."
