A meeting dedicated to the Student Start contest was held in Kazan
On August 27, 2025, a meeting was held in Kazan on the results of the application campaign of the sixth stage of the Student Startup competition with the participation of the Advisor to the General Director of the Innovation Promotion Foundation, I. M. Bortnik.
The event was attended by the Head of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan R. N. Minnikhanov, Assistant to the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan A. Kh. Gilmutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan M. A. Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan D. R. Shakirov, representatives of universities of the Republic.
The application campaign of the sixth stage demonstrated record figures — students of the Republic of Tatarstan submitted more than 1,600 applications, which significantly exceeded the results of the previous stages of the competition.
The direction of "Digital technologies" was the most popular among the students of the republic (41% of all applications). Creative Industries came in second place (20%), while New Devices and Intelligent Manufacturing Technologies took the third place (12%).
Kazan Federal University, Kazan State Power Engineering University and Kazan National Research Technological University became the leaders among the universities of the republic in terms of the number of applications submitted.
The meeting also discussed the reserves identified during the competition, outlined ways to improve work with young innovators, and identified steps to further support student startup projects in the Republic of Tatarstan.
