On the eve of the Day of the Inventor and Innovator, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Dinar Shakirov, conducted a live broadcast on the VKontakte social network platform of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, dedicated to the development of intellectual property in the region.
The event is timed to celebrate a professional holiday and aims to highlight key achievements and prospects in this strategically important area.
The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the leaders in inventive activity in Russia. In 2024, the number of patent applications reached almost 1.5 thousand, which is 7.2% more than in the previous year, and the number of patents granted exceeded 1 thousand. Among the leaders in patenting are large enterprises such as PJSC Tatneft and leading universities, including KNRTU-KAI, KFU and Innopolis University.
A regional project "Support and stimulation of inventive activity" is being implemented in Tatarstan as part of the state program for scientific and technological development. Its goal is to create favorable conditions for the development, registration and commercialization of intellectual property objects. In 2024, 1,000 specialists completed training, and 340 innovative projects completed expertise and patent research.
An important step was the creation of a Multifunctional Republican Center for Inventive Activities (MFC), which operates on the principle of a "single window" and provides free consultations and expertise at all stages of the innovation cycle. In addition, the Tatpatent system has been introduced, simplifying the processes of patenting and trademark registration for small and medium-sized businesses.
The Republic of Tatarstan is also a pilot region for lending to small and medium-sized businesses secured by intellectual property. Since the end of 2024, loans in the amount of more than 40 million rubles have been issued, which confirms the relevance of this tool for supporting innovative companies.
The prospects for the development of intellectual property in Tatarstan include strengthening integration with the national system, expanding international cooperation, and introducing digital technologies such as artificial intelligence to analyze patent information.
At the end of the live broadcast, the Deputy Minister congratulated the inventors and innovators on their professional holiday and noted: "Today, in conditions of rapid development of all sectors of the economy, in order to ensure technological leadership, the field of intellectual property is becoming one of the main priorities more than ever."
