The Russian export center, part of the VEB.RF structure intends to expand its presence and open a new representative office in the Republic of Tatarstan. This became known from the statement of the vice-president of the REC, Alexander Molodtsov, made on June 2 at the meeting of the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, with entrepreneurs. The event is dedicated to the decade of entrepreneurship in Tatarstan.
The opening of the Kazan office will allow Tatarstan companies to receive the necessary on-site support and fully realize the export potential of the region, giving companies the opportunity to find partners and effectively organize export activities.
The range of services will cover all stages of export activities: from consultations on target market selection and logistics organization to financial support and insurance of export transactions.
Alexander Molodtsov stressed that Tatarstan is one of the most active export-oriented regions, with which the REC has been cooperating fruitfully for a long time.
It should be recalled that the opening of the REC representative office in Kazan was initiated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. The proposal was made during a joint meeting of the Operational Headquarters for ensuring socio-economic Stability in the Republic and the Board of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the meeting, the minister said that by the end of 2024, the number of exporters and the volume of exports in the republic had increased. Thus, Tatarstan's exports in 2024 reached $12 billion. The indicator was 117.6% compared to the level of 2023. At the same time, the volume of exports provided with the support of the REC amounted to $803.6 million. The main positions of non-primary exports were products of the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, fat and oil products, products of the timber industry, as well as metals and precious metals.
According to the plans, by 2030, the volume of non-primary exports from Tatarstan should increase by 70% compared to the level of 2020.
