A meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov with Tatarstan business was held in Zelenodolsk

2 June 2025, Monday

The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, met with representatives of the business community of Tatarstan today. The event was organized by the Government and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the My Business Center. The event was implemented thanks to the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and is dedicated to the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship.

The meeting took place in one of the industrial parks in the Zelenodolsk region of the republic (industrial park "Spring") and was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship. The meeting was attended by Maxim Topilin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Tatiana Kim, Head of RVB LLC, Mikhail Afanasyev, head of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District, and others.

Prior to the event, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the companies operating here in the industrial park "Vesna". He also visited the enterprise of PC Tarpika LLC (production of other textile products made of polymers, covering curtains, frame and awning structures, lightweight awning fabric made of polyethylene). Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with Wildberries' production brands and sellers (printed products – books in Tatar, cosmetology products, puzzles, children's hosiery)

The meeting with the business community was moderated by Svetlana Kadyrova, Deputy General Director of the TNV television channel for Information Broadcasting.

In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that such meetings with entrepreneurs have already become traditional. He stressed that everything is being done in the region to support small and medium-sized businesses, and Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in terms of the investment climate.

By the end of 2024, the gross regional product amounted to 5.2 trillion rubles, and 24.2% of the GRP of our republic is the contribution of small and medium–sized enterprises. "Entrepreneurs have always been and remain an active and proactive part of the population," he said. – We see how many new projects are being implemented. Before coming here to you, we also took part in the construction of new production facilities."

Today, over 182 thousand small and medium-sized businesses operate in Tatarstan, which have created more than 640 thousand jobs. In addition, 392 thousand self-employed people are registered in the republic. Last year, entrepreneurs paid 233 billion rubles in taxes alone. "I think these are very serious figures, especially in such a difficult time, when the bank rate is high and issues related to sanctions are relevant. Nevertheless, our entrepreneurs have managed to adapt to the new working conditions," said Rustam Minnikhanov.

He also stressed that small and medium–sized businesses are developing where the heads of districts are interested in this - locally. "If the head is interested, new businesses and new projects appear," he said. – There are a lot of projects in Laishevo. For small businesses, the organization of special platforms is very important, and this is a whole science! An entrepreneur should feel support from the authorities, from the state. After all, an entrepreneur is someone who takes risks. With his name, with his money. Therefore, they must be confident and feel the support of the authorities." As a positive example of entrepreneurship development, Rustam Minnikhanov cited the Laishevsky municipal district, which was previously headed by Mikhail Afanasyev (currently the head of the Zelenodolsk municipal district). "Mikhail Pavlovich (Afanasyev) has done a lot in Laishevo and continues to develop here. Let's applaud him!" said the Head of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that a lot of work is being done today to involve participants in entrepreneurship. This makes it possible to better adapt to peaceful life, and we must help, he said.

The Head of Tatarstan also noted that electronic commerce is developing in the republic. As an example, he cited Wildberries (the head of RVB LLC, Tatiana Kim, was present at the meeting).

Over the past 5 years, the number of Tatarstan sellers on marketplaces has grown hundreds of times, and now exceeds 69 thousand, said Rustam Minnikhanov. He thanked Wildberries for its dynamic development in the republic, for implementing educational and marketing projects for entrepreneurs.

Rustam Minnikhanov drew the attention of the meeting participants to the fact that both the republic and the federal government provide serious financial support to entrepreneurs. According to him, over the past year and the beginning of this year, financial support for businesses exceeded 100 billion rubles. "Thank you to our federal colleagues who are with us today," he said.

During the meeting, entrepreneurs asked the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan such questions as retrofitting the Republic's industrial parks for the development of sites in the coming years.

Thus, a representative of the Management Company Industrial Park Zvanka (Pestrechinsky district) said that 19 residents are working at this site today. There is a request to expand the industrial park, but government support is needed.

Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to work out the issue. He said, in particular, that today there are a lot of movements from the areas close to Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny – people are going to work in the cities. "We need to make sure that jobs are created in the districts, it is crucial," he said. "If there are ready–made sites – industrial parks, industrial sites – jobs will be created there."

An individual entrepreneur from the Tetyushsky district asked a question regarding the participation of veterans of their military education in programs of the Republic of Tatarstan aimed at supporting small businesses. The individual entrepreneur is engaged in the production of wood products and suggested considering the possibility of participating in the supply of products for the courtyards of apartment buildings or public spaces.
