On May 26, 2025, Roman Amirkhanov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at the session "Islamic Banking in Russia" within the framework of the Caucasian Investment Forum: from an experiment to a system model and economic opportunities", during which he presented the results of an experiment on partnership financing in the region.
"Tatarstan's total asset portfolio in the field of partner financing has more than doubled in 2024," the deputy minister said.
This significant growth was made possible thanks to the systematic work of government authorities, market participants, clergy, and representatives of the expert community.
The Republic of Tatarstan pays special attention to the training of qualified personnel, certification and standardization of Islamic financial products, as well as the active digitalization of this area. The region has created an integrated infrastructure for the development of partner financing, including educational programs, specialized digital platforms and business support mechanisms.
The Republic continues to actively participate in the development of partnership financing, striving to form a full-fledged financial system and create a favorable investment climate both in the region and in the country as a whole.
