A meeting dedicated to the republic's participation in the Student Startup competition was held in Tatarstan today. The event brought together representatives of science, economics, and education in the region to discuss and analyze the successful experiences and prospects of students and graduate students participating in a program aimed at developing the entrepreneurial potential of young people.

The meeting was opened by President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, who noted the importance of maintaining the innovative spirit among the younger generation.

During the event, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Dinar Rafikovich Shakirov, presented a report on the experience of implementing the Student Startup program in the region. Since 2022, Tatarstan has been actively participating in the competition and holds a leading position in terms of the number of applications and the number of winners. During this time, more than 4,500 students expressed their initiative, and 734 became winners and received grants for the development of their projects.

One of the key points of the discussion was the consolidation of the winning projects in the structure of cooperation between universities, industrial enterprises and ministries. This integration has made it possible to create an effective support system for innovative startups, contributing to their development and sustainable growth.

Special attention was paid to successful examples of startups that have moved to the stage of commercialization and achieved their first successes in the market.

Dinar Shakirov also noted that in addition to the Student Startup program, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan provides newly established companies with a wide range of support tools for the successful development of entrepreneurial activities, including:
- training and consulting services;
- services for registration of a legal entity;
- development of business plans;
- as well as participation in exhibition and fair events;
and others.

The meeting ended with an active discussion of questions and answers, which confirmed the participants' high interest in the prospects for development and further participation in the competition.

The event demonstrated a high level of engagement and interaction between all participants of the program and became another step in strengthening Tatarstan's position as an advanced region in the development of student entrepreneurship.
