About 500 applications for competitive grant support of 1 million rubles have been received from young entrepreneurs of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan took the second place among the regions of the country in terms of the number of applications received for the federal youth entrepreneurship competition "Create Ours".

More than 7,000 applications were sent by entrepreneurs aged 14 to 28 from all regions of Russia to participate in the federal competition "Create OURS", which is 30% higher than last year. Among the most active regions in terms of applications submitted: Moscow (500 applications), the Republic of Tatarstan (474 applications) and St. Petersburg (301 applications). 

In the final, the top 30 projects will receive 1 million rubles each and the right to participate in a special acceleration program from the SME Corporation. 

Create OURS is a joint project of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the SME Corporation and the Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative Foundation. 

The competition is designed to help young entrepreneurs develop their own businesses. Aspiring businessmen will be able to unlock the potential and effectively launch their project with financial support and personal mentoring from leading experts. The competition meets the goals of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and acts as a platform for the implementation of ideas and the selection of projects that will contribute to the economic development of the country.

"The increase in the number of applications for the "Create OURS" competition by a third indicates the growing popularity of entrepreneurship among young people. The guys believe in their ideas, they are looking for opportunities to start, they are ready to learn and bring projects to practical implementation. Therefore, special educational programs, financial support and development measures for start–up businesses are becoming more and more in demand," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation. He noted that now each participant of the competition will undergo online training on the basics of entrepreneurship, and then develop a project to open a new or scale an existing business, after which he will present his project for evaluation by an expert jury.

In addition to a monetary reward of 1 million rubles, the competition will include special nominations from the largest companies in the country, in which students will be able to get acceleration opportunities based on their projects. 

The first "Create Ours" contest was held in April 2024. 30 winners from 20 regions were determined. Last year, 3 projects from Tatarstan became winners. It should be noted that among all subjects of the Russian Federation the Republic of Tatarstan and St. Petersburg were the leaders in the number of winners - 3 people each. The republican business for the production of organic fertilizers, furniture and decor items, as well as metal jewelry received grant support and participation in the accelerator of youth projects.
