Tatarstan has become a leader among the country's regions in terms of the number of online support measures provided to entrepreneurs

Users of the SME.RF Digital Platform developed by the SME Corporation and the Ministry of Economic Development, has attracted more than 1.1 million Russian entrepreneurs, self–employed citizens and those who plan to start their own businesses in three years. Entrepreneurs have applied more than 7 million times for three years to the SME.RF services. Tatarstan has become the leader among Russian regions in terms of the number of electronic applications for regional support measures received through the federal platform.

The programs to support the country's entrepreneurs, presented on the platform, are implemented within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".

The SME.RF platform has provided small and medium-sized businesses in 89 regions of Russia with access to government support measures in an online format. The regions have received special access to process applications. And the introduced digital profile of the entrepreneur made it possible to make the support format proactive, the platform itself offers businesses programs and measures that are suitable for them.

During the three years of the SME.RF platform's operation, the number of services for entrepreneurs has grown from 8 to more than 30. The most popular are business training, regional support measures, and free counterparty verification. The most in-demand financial service was obtaining microfinance from state-owned MFIs, through which in 2024 small and medium-sized businesses received more than 18.1 billion rubles at an average rate of 7.5% per annum.

"About the high interest of entrepreneurs in SME.RF says the daily average growth is 1.8 thousand new users. In 2024, the number of self–employed people on the platform increased by more than 2 times, and legal entities and sole proprietors - by more than 40%. At the same time, we see changes across industries. While maintaining the leadership of trade, the number of SMEs employed in manufacturing, construction, logistics, hospitality, agriculture and healthcare has increased by 30% over the past year. By 2030, we expect the number of users of the platform to grow to 3 million people," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation.

Almost a quarter of the users are SME.RF consists of regions with a large number of entrepreneurs and a high level of digitalization – Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Moscow Region, the Krasnodar Territory and St. Petersburg. The Republic of Tatarstan became the TOP 1 region in terms of the number of applications for regional support measures by the end of 2024. Entrepreneurs of the republic submitted about 15,5 thousand applications. Next are Moscow, Novosibirsk region, Republic of Crimea, Nizhny Novgorod region.

The interest in the platform from men (50.6%) and women (49.4%) was equal. According to age criteria, the largest number of users are around the age of 40.

In 2024, the integration of SME.RF has been ensured with the Federal Portal for providing financial support measures to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. This has made information about government financial support measures, such as subsidies and grants, available to entrepreneurs. In addition, there is a special "widget" in SME.RF with available support measures is embedded in the taxpayer's personal account and on the Public Services portal.
