Over 4.14 trillion rubles accounted for the total volume of purchases by the largest customers from small and medium-sized businesses within the framework of Federal Law 223-FZ in the first half of 2024 in the country. Tatarstan is one of the three leading regions in terms of volume of small and medium-sized businesses by the largest customers.
"In comparison with the first half of last year, in the six months of this year, an increase in the amount of purchases from SMEs was recorded by almost 1.6 trillion (+62%), to more than 4.14 trillion rubles. At the same time, the number of suppliers representing small and medium-sized businesses increased by 21%. Their total number in the first half of the year increased by more than 25 thousand and exceeded 143 thousand," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation.
The leaders in terms of purchases from SME suppliers among the regions were Moscow (the amount of purchases is more than 1,670 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (almost 387 billion), the Republic of Tatarstan (about 225 billion).
According to the results of the first half of the year, there was a multiple increase in the volume of contracts for the purchase of a number of goods, works and services. In particular, the growth in support services related to financial intermediation and insurance exceeded 33 times. The volume of purchased products and services of private households has increased by more than 21 times. Almost 16 times more residential care services were purchased. The leaders also include employment and recruitment services, construction work, financial services and cultural services.
The top largest customers in terms of purchases from SME suppliers in the first six months of this year are headed by Russian Railways, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, Aeroflot, Sberbank, Rosseti Moscow Region.
Let us recall that companies with state participation are required to make at least 25% of purchases within the framework of Federal Law 223 from small and medium-sized businesses during the year. The implementation of the established quota is controlled by the SME Corporation and regional authorities. The volume of purchases is included in the indicators of the national project "Small and medium-sized Enterprises", which was initiated by President Vladimir Putin.
