In Tatarstan, the coefficient of inventive activity increased by 12% in 2023

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of the State Autonomous Institution "Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the Republic of Tatarstan", which is a regional development institute subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Supervisory Board: President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Minister of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan Fanil Agliullin, Head of the Intellectual Property Practice of Sibur LLC Maria Bogomolova, First Deputy Director of the TatNIPIneft Institute Azat Zaripov, Deputy Director for Digital Project Development of the ANO VO Innopolis University" Alexey Pavlov and others.

Tatarstan Central Research Institute is the authorized body in the republic for registration and accounting of all R&D carried out at the expense of the republican budget, the competence center in the field of intellectual property of the Republic of Tatarstan.  

The head of the Central Research Institute of the Republic of Tatarstan Arsen Savva presented a report on the organization's activities for 2023 and plans for 2024. He spoke about the main tasks, government customers and R&D executors, distribution in priority areas of science, technology and engineering, patent and licensing support and expertise. Among the goals for the current year, he named the organization and implementation of work on the development of the intellectual property market, participation in the implementation of the state program "Scientific and technological development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030".

"The issues discussed today are aimed at solving one of the most important tasks set by the President of Russia - the achievement of technological sovereignty, the Supervisory Board and the Central Research Institute need to set themselves up for active work in the field of intellectual property protection of scientific organizations and enterprises of our republic," said Midhat Shagiakhmetov. 

In Tatarstan, the coefficient of inventive activity increased by 12% in 2023, and there were more applications for inventions. Last year, applicants from the Republic of Tatarstan submitted 845 applications for an invention to Rospatent, which is 15% more than a year earlier. Also last year, applicants from the republic received 677 patents for these intellectual property objects. In addition, in 2023, applicants from the republic submitted 137 applications for an industrial design to Rospatent, which is twice as high as in 2022, and also received 108 patents.
