In Tatarstan, a working group meeting of the operational headquarters was held under the chairmanship of Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting focused on ensuring the stable operation of enterprises in the Menzelinsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The working group included Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium‑Sized Entrepreneurship; Aidar Salakhov, Head of the Menzelinsky Municipal District; as well as representatives of sectoral ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The agro‑industrial complex forms the backbone of the Menzelinsky District’s economy. The share of agriculture in the gross territorial product (GTP) amounts to 37.2 %. In January–June, the gross agricultural output reached a growth rate of 100.2 % compared to the same period last year.
Construction ranks second in the district’s economy, accounting for 15.2 % of the GTP. Within this sector, the largest volumes of work are related to road construction. Industry accounts for 11.4 % of the district’s economic structure; the industrial production index for the reporting period amounted to 117 % compared to the same period of the previous year.
Small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) account for 40 % of the district’s economy. The sector’s development dynamics are characterised by steady growth: the growth rate of the number of SME entities is 106 % compared to the same period last year, while the number of newly established enterprises increased by 10.6 %. The district has been tasked with intensifying efforts to increase the number of SMEs and to facilitate the registration of new businesses.
Following the meeting, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov instructed to organise systematic work to identify factors affecting the financial stability of the supervised organisations, to assess risks and to implement measures to minimise them. The minister also emphasised the need to ensure monitoring of the fulfilment of financial and economic targets by enterprises, including within the framework of balance commissions.
