The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a seminar dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day

On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted an educational seminar on anti-corruption topics for government civil servants.

The event was opened by Roman Amirkhanov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Department of Socio–Economic Monitoring. In his speech, he noted that corruption has a negative impact on all aspects of society and is closely intertwined with conflicts and instability, endangering socio-economic development.  Preventing corruption, promoting transparency and strengthening institutions are crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

"On International Anti-Corruption Day, we emphasize the crucial link between the fight against corruption and peace, security and development. The fight against these crimes is the right and duty of everyone, only through the participation of every person and every institution will we be able to overcome corruption," Roman Amirkhanov said.

During the seminar, the head of the Civil Service and Personnel Department, Venera Sadykova, recalled the need to comply with prohibitions, restrictions and requirements for official behavior established for civil servants.

Zulfiya Vafina, a leading specialist of the Department of Public Service and Personnel, responsible for the prevention of corruption and other offenses, made a report on the implementation of the activities of the state program "Implementation of the anti–corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015-2025" at the Ministry.

The Department of Public Service and Personnel, together with the Department of Socio-Economic Monitoring, organized and conducted an anonymous survey of employees of the Ministry on anti-corruption issues. 112 employees of the Ministry took part in it. The head of the information and analytical department, Farida Fayzrakhmanova, introduced the results of the questionnaire to the participants of the seminar.

The documentary films "The history of corruption in simple words. The Mirror of the World" and "International experience in fighting corruption on the example of China" were presented to the staff.
