Maria Kalashnikova is a social entrepreneur from the Republic of Tatarstan. Young woman is developing a project of the family creativity studio, which teaches children to read and helps large families to prepare for school free of charge.
The studio is engaged in the development of children from 1 to 10 years old in various areas - from early development of children to preparatory courses for school, penmanship and reading skills.
In 2022, the creator of the studio received training for social entrepreneurs from the My Business Center and received a cash grant of more than 200 thousand rubles.
The support was provided by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship". Thanks to grant funds and the knowledge gained on running a socially oriented business, Maria opened a second branch of the studio, and also equipped an additional room for teaching children to read.
"Thanks to the grant, we have expanded the leased area - the number of students has also increased by 2 times," shared Maria Kalashnikova.
Maria said that the studio is also focused on solving social problems.
"We are working with a decrease in interest in reading among preschoolers, the lack of reading skills in children before school, and also increase the availability of quality education for children from large families," the entrepreneur noted.
So, the studio organizes reading courses for children from large families on a free basis. The service is in demand. Demand exceeds the studio's capabilities.
In total, the number of children who want to learn to read correctly has increased by 2 times compared to last year. Now 170 children are studying in the studio.
Let us recall that the support of social subjects of SMEs is carried out by the My Business Center as part of the implementation of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship" initiated by the President of the Russian Federation.
