100 innovative startups will be "grown" in Tatarstan

With the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the My Business Center, Skolkovo University has started accepting applications for participation in the Innovator's Navigator training program for technology entrepreneurs. The winners of the Student Startup program will participate in the event, which will be held from November 14 to 17 in the IT Park Technopark. The program is implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship".

Most of the program is devoted to practical work in teams. This will allow participants to improve their communication skills and work out their projects efficiently. The selected finalists will have the opportunity to master the tools of the Lean Startup approach, apply them to their product, formulate a working business model and present their project to experts. All days of the program, participants will be accompanied by trackers – representatives of the business sector.

The training program will end with a demo day, during which the teams will present their projects to an expert jury of representatives of science, business and development institutes. The program is aimed at developing young startups and future leaders of scientific and technological projects, which will help accelerate the commercialization of participants' ideas.

Participants of the Innovator Navigator program will complete a six-month development path of their startup in a few days. According to the results of the intensive, all participants will become holders of a certificate from Skolkovo.

Last year, the Innovation Promotion Fund selected 1,000 winners within the framework of the Student Startup program, each of whom received a grant of 1 million rubles. In 2023, 1,500 young entrepreneurs received funding to launch their business, of which a third from the Republic of Tatarstan - 442 startups.

Let us recall that in 2022, a regional representative office of the Innovation Assistance Fund was opened on the basis of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan. The My Business Center carries out the overall integration of the implementation process of each specific project-the winner of the Student Startup competition with enterprises, universities, ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan for further commercialization of technological projects.
