Today, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov and the Iranian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Sharifzade, the opening of an additional office of Mir Business Bank took place.

The activity of Mir Business Bank on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan is a concrete example of the implementation of Tatarstan-Iranian cooperation.  The Mir Business Bank division established in 2019 in Kazan is developing, its activities contribute to the development of foreign trade turnover between the Islamic Republic of Iran and enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan. Tatarstan's trade turnover with Iran in the first half of 2023 increased by a quarter compared to the same period last year.

Tatarstan actively interacts with the Islamic world and the countries that are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. For investors who pay special attention to ethical and religious norms of investment, the Republic of Tatarstan has been designated by Federal Law this year as a pilot region for conducting an experiment to create favorable legal conditions for the introduction of partner finance in Russia.

"It is doubly gratifying that the subsidiary of Mir Business Bank, the Miras Financial Company, which offers financing in accordance with the principles of Islamic finance, operates in the Republic of Tatarstan. We hope for fruitful cooperation on this issue within the framework of the experiment," Midhat Shagiakhmetov said.

We remind you that since September 1 of this year, a two-year experiment on the introduction of partner (Islamic) financing has been launched in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan Dagestan and Chechnya. The relevant law was adopted in August of this year.
