A working meeting dedicated to the discussion of the upcoming development of a master plan for the Kama agglomeration, work on which will begin in 2024, was held at the State Budgetary Institution "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan".
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan – Midhat Shagiakhmetov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District – Ramil Mullin, as well as Director of the Institute of Spatial Planning – Oleg Grigoriev.
The participants discussed the expediency of changing the boundaries of Nizhnekamsk and the issues of developing a master plan, which is designed to create conditions for improving the quality of life and developing the business environment. It will become a tool for preventing pendulum migration and the uniform distribution of social facilities.
The document is of a long-term nature and is necessary for the further balanced socio-economic development of the territories.
"The agglomeration approach will help the complex uniform development of the territories of our republic," Midhat Shagiakhmetov stressed.
Ramil Mullin made a report on the topic "Nizhnekamsk: prospects and challenges on the way to sustainable socio-economic development".
Today, state institution "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan" together with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan are working on the long-term integrated development of the territories of Tatarstan, including developing master plans for Innopolis and the Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics center.
