The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has published a report on the work of the SEZ for 2022: the SEZ of Tatarstan in the leaders of the assessment

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has sent to the Government of the Russian Federation a report on the results of the work of special economic zones for 2022. Such an analysis is carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development annually in accordance with the rules for assessing the effectiveness of the SEZ, approved by the Decree of the Government of Russia. According to the results of the assessment, the industrial and production zone in the Republic of Tatarstan "Alabuga" became the leader in efficiency for 2022 - 100%.  

Among the SEZs of the technical and implementation type, the leaders in efficiency in 2022 were sites in Moscow (Technopolis Moscow - 100%), the Moscow Region (Dubna - 100%), the Republic of Tatarstan (Innopolis - 100%), St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg - 96%).

The leaders among Russian SEZs in terms of the number of new jobs created by residents and the management company were SEZ - Technopolis Moscow (2,095), in the Republic of Tatarstan - Alabuga (1,361) and Innopolis (1,273), Ivanovo (1,299), Titanium Valley in Sverdlovsk regions (1,045), "Dubna" of the Moscow region (921), "St. Petersburg" (829).

In terms of taxes paid to the budget systems of Russia, the SEZS are leading - "Alabuga" (5.5 billion rubles), "Lipetsk" (3.3 billion rubles), "St. Petersburg" (10.1 billion rubles), "Technopolis Moscow" (10.1 billion rubles), "Istok" in the Moscow region (8 billion rubles).

"The leaders of efficiency among SEZs for 2022 are distinguished by a built and time-tested system of investor support throughout the entire "life cycle" of an investment project, which assumes, in addition to benefits for mandatory payments and leasing of state property, information, administrative and infrastructure support for business," said the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Vakhrukov.

"Such growth dynamics suggests that SEZs continue to be the driver of regional economies and points of attraction for investment and stimulation of economic activity. Business comes to the SEZ for stable conditions and developed infrastructure, and the results of 2022, in this sense, speak for themselves. The SEZ regime is working, and the investment attractiveness of the sites is growing every year," Dmitry Vakhrukov stressed.

The assessment of the SEZ functioning efficiency was carried out according to twenty-five absolute and relative quantitative indicators, as well as six calculated efficiency indicators. The activities of residents, the profitability of investments of federal and regional budgets in the creation of infrastructure, the activities of government bodies and other parameters were taken into account.
