Agglomeration development and inter-municipal cooperation will be discussed at the V All-Russian Strategic Development Forum "Cities of Russia 2030"

From November 16 to 17, 2022, Yekaterinburg will host the 5th All-Russian Strategic Development Forum "Cities of Russia 2030". The forum has been held since 2017. The forum has become a platform for the formation of an up-to-date agenda for the development of Russian cities and approaches to launching effective projects of various sizes for their development.
More than a thousand people will take part in the Forum, including representatives of federal and regional authorities, local governments, businesses, scientific and public organizations, urban planners, and experts in the field of urban planning.
 The two-day program of the Forum consists of 47 events, the speakers and moderators of which will be more than 70 experts.
The main theme of the Forum will be devoted to the issues of agglomeration development and inter-municipal cooperation. As part of the business program of the Forum, on November 16, 2022, the session “Development of a long-term agglomeration plan – approbation of methodological recommendations and identification of agglomeration development projects” will be held, where methodological approaches to the development of long-term plans for the socio-economic development of urban agglomerations will be considered. In addition, on November 17, 2022, a panel discussion "Agglomeration Rail Framework: Success Factors" is scheduled, which will raise issues of developing the transport framework of urban agglomerations, using the example of projects included in the Mobile City initiative.
Also, within the framework of the Forum, it is planned to continue discussing topical issues of urban planning, taking into account the specifics and territorial features of cities, the sustainable functioning of the economy of the new reality, mechanisms for addressing global challenges, as well as possible ways to achieve the goals set by the President of the Russian Federation.
