An educational program for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan has started at the Entrepreneur's House. A course of lectures developed by the Export School of the Russian Export Center (REC) and conducted in the region with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The training program is aimed at developing a set of knowledge, competencies and practical tools for the exporters of Tatarstan to effectively develop new export markets. Tatarstan has become one of 15 Russian regions that are implementing this program in a pilot mode in 2022. 7 small and medium-sized businesses will be trained in face-to-face and distance formats. This is the production and sale of heat and sound insulation materials, equipment for oil and gas wells, food, packaging equipment, trade in seeds and electrical goods.
The Export Standard for SMEs program is designed to be a driver for the growth of companies' exports, allowing experienced exporters to prepare a business plan to increase their export revenue and identify ways to strengthen their positions in export markets.
The program consists of five modules lasting two months. As part of the training, participants improve their knowledge in the field of analyzing the readiness of an enterprise to increase exports, conduct business intelligence, study the tools for creating a value proposition for foreign clients, work out a balanced scorecard in detail, determine an export scaling strategy, and evaluate the effectiveness of an enterprise's business processes.
Training in the first module is conducted by Alena Fedotkina, a federal trainer-mentor of the School of Export of the Russian Export Center for the programs of export seminars.
This year, in general, in Russia, given the situation, there is a reorientation to new markets, including the countries of the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Tatarstan entrepreneurs have previously worked with partners in the Middle East, they know the peculiarities of the Middle East markets quite well, they have experience in certification of halal products and understand the specifics of negotiating. Of great interest to the Tatarstan business is also the direction of China, which represents a huge market for product promotion.
The courses are free of charge thanks to the national project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives".
