Midkhat Shagiakhmetov outlined the importance of the IT industry for the sustainable development of the economy
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a meeting of the working group with the participation of sectoral ministries. The key issue of the meeting was the development of the IT industry in the face of sanctions pressure.
During the meeting, topical issues of introducing IT technologies, digitalization problems, IT projects implemented in Tatarstan, support measures for the development of the IT industry under sanctions pressure were discussed. Deputy Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilya Nachvin reported on the results of the industry development in 2022 and the forecast for the near future, participation in federal support measures and the effect of them, proposals for new support measures, import substitution, priority industry problems that impede the smooth operation of organizations, as well as the timing of their specific decisions.
Currently, three enterprises are included in the list of backbone organizations of the Russian economy from the Republic of Tatarstan in the IT industry: PJSC Tattelecom, JSC ICL - KPO VS, JSC Bars Group. Within the framework of the meeting, a meeting was held with the management of JSC ICL - KPO VS, the largest company in Russia for the production of computer equipment, to discuss problematic issues.
Midkhat Shagiakhmetov once again emphasized the importance of supporting the domestic IT industry in the face of sanctions pressure.
The work of the organizations of the republic on filling in the Republican Marketing Center of information in the catalog of previously purchased imported products and in the catalog for its replacement was discussed. Yakov Geller, head of the Agency for State Order JSC, recalled that directors of enterprises can take part in webinars on the RMC resources on the placement of import-substituting products.
Also during the meeting, the following issues were considered: the situation on the labor market, the results of the work of the balance commissions of the sectoral ministries of the republic, the inclusion of enterprises of the republic in the list of backbone organizations of the Russian economy, problems in the implementation of investment projects included in the Investment Memorandum of the Republic of Tatarstan.
