Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov today discussed the issues of business support with the Director General of the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME Corporation) Alexander Isaevich. The meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.

At the business meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, issues of supporting entrepreneurship, creating comfortable conditions in the region and the country for effective business, the development of digital services, as well as other industry issues were discussed.

In particular, in the conversation Alexander Isaevich touched upon the issue of providing a new mechanism to support lending to small and medium-sized businesses, the so-called "umbrella" provision of guarantees. Let us recall that the development and implementation of this mechanism was carried out by the SME Corporation together with the pilot regions of Russia, among which the Republic of Tatarstan is included.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, small business companies were able to additionally attract more than 2.4 billion rubles of borrowed capital due to the "umbrella" guarantees of the SME Corporation. The average loan amount was approximately 17 million rubles.

The corresponding support measure was launched by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. It is implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative".
