Young scientists of Tatarstan can receive a grant of 500 thousand rubles

In Tatarstan, in the period from September to October 2021, one can apply for participation in the "Smart Guy" contest. The competition is designed to select scientific projects that have the prospect of commercialization in the field of digital technologies, medicine, resource-saving energy, etc.

The grant under the "SMART GUY" program is 500 thousand rubles for 2 years. Individuals from 18 to 35 years old who have not previously won the "Smart Guy" program of the Innovation Promotion Fund can take part in the competition.

The thematic areas of the competition are: digital technologies, medicine and health-saving technologies, new materials and chemical technologies, new devices and intelligent production technologies, biotechnologies, resource-saving energy.

The republican semi-final selections will be held in the period from September to October 2021, the final will be held in November 2021. The schedule of semi-final events in the Republic of Tatarstan can be found at the link or on the official website of the Foundation: https://umnik.fasie.ru/.

The competition "Smart Guy" is held by the Innovation Promotion Fund. Interaction with this development institute in the Republic is supervised by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Young scientists from the Republic of Tatarstan traditionally actively participate in the "SMART GUY" program. By the end of 2020, 170 applications were submitted, of which 45 applicants received the support of the Fund. The largest number of applications last year came from representatives of the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev-KAI, Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.

Acceptance of applications for the last semi-final ends on October 19, 2021.
