The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan implements support measures for farmers affected by drought

Unfavorable weather conditions established in the central part of Russia have made adjustments to the work of Tatarstan farmers. In order to minimize the damage, the leadership of the republic has taken a number of management decisions, including financial support measures for agricultural producers. The non-profit micro-credit company "Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan", subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, has developed a special microfinance product "Drought" – which allows attracting preferential financing in the amount of up to 5 million rubles. Tatarstan farmers can also use the guarantee support.

Under the terms of the program, the loan is issued for any costs justified by borrowers for doing business. The amount of a microloan is from 300 thousand to 5 million rubles for a period of 3 to 24 months at 4.5 % per annum. Financing is available for agricultural producers who carry out their activities on the territory of municipal districts in which an emergency regime has been introduced. At the same time, the borrower must be registered in Tatarstan and have in the list of the main types of work: 

- cultivation of annual crops;

- cultivation of perennial crops;

- animal production;

- mixed agriculture;

- auxiliary activities in the field of crop production and post-harvest processing of agricultural products.

In addition, the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan has developed a preferential product "Entrepreneurship in rural areas". Participants can be farmers, sole proprietors, cooperatives and entrepreneurs operating in rural areas. The amount of the Fund's guarantee for this product is up to 70% of the loan amount. The minimum remuneration rate is 0.5%, the maximum amount of the Guarantee Fund guarantee is up to 5 million rubles.

The Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan, is constantly working with commercial banks in terms of providing agricultural enterprises with the opportunity to restructure and prolong existing loans.
