According to the results of January-May 2021, the GRP growth rate of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 102.3%

The gradual recovery of the economy continues. According to the results of January-May of this year, the GRP of the republic amounted, according to estimates, to 1 trillion 181.8 billion rubles, or 102.3% in comparable prices to the corresponding period of 2020, while in the first four months of this year, the volume of the gross regional product of the republic amounted to 938.8 billion rubles, or 100.4% in comparable prices to the level of the corresponding period last year.

The volume of shipped products amounted to 1 trillion 485.7 billion rubles, the industrial production index – 104.3% compared to January-May 2020, including in mining – 96.5%, manufacturing – 108.7%, providing electric energy, gas, steam; air conditioning – 110.7%, water supply; sanitation, waste collection and disposal, pollution elimination activities – 173.6%.

In agriculture, the volume of production amounted to 83.1 billion rubles, or 100.1% in comparable prices by January-May 2020.

The volume of construction works amounted to 94.9 billion rubles, or 102.4% in comparable prices compared to January-May 2020. 1 million 187.2 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned.

The recovery dynamics remains in the consumer market. Retail trade turnover amounted to 420.5 billion rubles, or 110.1% in comparable prices compared to January-May 2020.

The trend of reducing the number of officially registered unemployed in the bodies of the employment service of the population continues. At the end of May of this year, the unemployment rate in the republic amounted to 1.06% of the labor force (at the end of December 2020 – 1.9%).
