On April 11, within the framework of the republican project "School Business Start" The first stage of the large-scale business case championship has started, which virtually brought together more than three hundred schoolchildren from all over Tatarstan. The participants, united into 32 teams, were asked to solve real problems in various fields of entrepreneurial activity.
As the organizers of the School Business Start project noted, this year the entrepreneurs in their business cases focused on finding solutions to personnel issues. For example, the participants were asked to find ways to attract young professionals to work at the children's center; to develop mechanisms that would encourage the company's employees to develop and grow their careers at this particular enterprise. Also among the practical tasks is the search for answers to questions related to the ecology of business, namely: how can a store specializing in the sale of women's clothing reduce the use of polyethylene packaging material during transportation, etc.
In total, the future entrepreneurs were offered five business cases. After 5 days, each team will have to submit their reasoned proposals for solving a particular problem.
The projects of the participants will be evaluated by experts - representatives of the Tatarstan business community. According to the results of the first stage of the business case championship, only 12 teams can go offline to the second stage, which will be held in Kazan on April 30.
Natalia Kondratova, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan:
"The School Business Start project has been implemented in Tatarstan for the third year. During this time, the project has reached more than 34 thousand children of secondary school age, including those from small towns and villages of our republic. The activities provided for in this project play an important role in the development of financial literacy and entrepreneurial thinking among our children, as well as contribute to the formation of a talent pool for the development of the region's economy. The experience gained here will help students in their further professional choice and will become an incentive to implement their own business ideas."
The School Business Start project is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, as part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The organizers are the My Business Center of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
