Tatarstan President meets with business community on Russian Entrepreneurship Day
Today, in honor of the Day of Entrepreneurship in "Carpet" youth center in Nizhnekamsk, a meeting with the business community of the republic was held. The speakers were entrepreneurs of the republic, who presented their business projects, shared their experience during the pandemic, also presented the knowledge and cases they received during the educational programs of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also talked about further plans for the development of their business. The event is organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated entrepreneurs on their professional holiday.
"In the Soviet years, entrepreneurially-inclined people were not held in high esteem, but today they are an active part of society. Entrepreneurs are the active core of the society that moves the country forward, " said Minnikhanov. – These are people who strive to be self-sufficient and successful. They take risks and don't wait for someone else to do the job for them."
Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that last year the business community faced a number of difficulties and questions in connection with the global coronavirus pandemic. Support measures were taken at the federal and national levels. Gradually, business has recovered, but even today, the hospitality and tourism sectors are operating under restrictions. "Do you know who is successful today? Not someone who works successfully. But the one who fell, and then was able to get back up again. These are strong managers, " the President of the Republic of Tatarstan stressed.
"Of course, the state should always understand that entrepreneurship itself will not develop. And the government should take on both regulatory issues and issues related to support. Moreover, the majority of entrepreneurs are young people who still do not have enough of their own capital, and they need support," Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He stressed that representatives of small and medium-sized businesses are the future middle class: "People who are able not only to provide for themselves, but also to give work to others – in the future it will be a support for any state."
Rustam Minnikhanov listened to the entrepreneurs and, as a professional mentor, gave advice to each of them. The President wished the participants of the meeting success in their favorite occupation and encouraged them to constantly learn new things. "If you are an entrepreneur, you have to watch the market, the demand every day. Don't to produce something that no one wants. Do what the market needs today, " he added.
In return, the comprehensive programs of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan are aimed at supporting a wide range of entrepreneurs and the self-employed – microloans, subsidies, guarantees, grants contribute to the development of business at any of its stages.
