The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a traditional meeting of the working group on implementation of the Action Plan to ensure the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the context of a worsening situation due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection, volatility in oil prices and the dollar exchange rate.

Before moving on to the agenda, it was noted that by the end of November, Russia will adopt sanitary and epidemiological rules for organizing the work of economic sectors in the context of the persistence of the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection.

The law will enter into force on January 1, 2021. In accordance with the draft law, an employment contract or an agreement to it may provide for the employee to perform a “labor function” remotely on a permanent basis or temporarily, that is, continuously for up to six months.

The meeting participants were also reminded that on November 30, 2020, the deadline for submitting applications for a deferral or installment plan for taxpayers working in the industries most affected by the spread of COVID-19 expires. Deferrals and installments are provided to such persons without interest. Applications can be submitted for payments due in 2020, including the period from December 1 to December 31. If there are grounds for providing a support measure, an application and an obligation to comply with the terms of the deferral or installment plan shall be submitted to the tax authority at the location or registration of the taxpayer.
