Taxes for 2019 in the amount of 139 million rubles will be returned to Tatarstan self-employed

At the end of 2019, more than 60 thousand self-employed citizens were registered in Tatarstan. In accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 783 as of May 29, 2020, according to the data of the Federal Tax Service of the Republic, self-employed citizens will be paid subsidies in the total amount of 138.9 million rubles.

In 2019, Tatarstan was selected as one of the four pilot regions for introduction of the special tax regime “Professional income tax” or, as it is also called, the tax regime for the self-employed.

In accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1431-r dated May 29, 2020, the Administration of the Federal Tax Service of Russia was allocated 1.6 billion rubles for provision of subsidies to self-employed citizens, including self-employed individuals, for reimbursement of their professional income tax for 2019. Currently, according to data from the Federal Tax Service of the Republic, self-employed subsidies will be paid in the total amount of more than 138.9 million rubles.

The transfer of subsidies occurs automatically no later than the 20th day of each month.

In addition, for current and newly registered self-employed citizens, “tax capital” is provided in the amount of one minimum wage (for Tatarstan –12,130 rubles), due to which self-employed citizens will be able to make tax payments this year without attracting their own funds, saving their income and working in the legal field. This tax capital increases the already existing tax bonus provided automatically in the amount of 10 thousand rubles.

Tax capital is provided to pay the tax payable from July 1 to December 31, 2020. Tax capital is credited automatically; information on tax capital crediting is reflected in your account or in the “My Tax” mobile application.

It should be noted that currently the republic has registered 66,474 self-employed, which means the legalization of more than 20.5% of those employed in the informal sector of the economy of the republic. Nonresident citizens who are registered in other Russian regions, but chose the territory of Tatarstan to conduct their activities, are not taken into account in this figure. There are more than 7.4 thousand such people.
