A plant for production of liquid pesticides is opened in Alabuga SEZ
Today a plant “August-Alabuga” is opened in the territory of the special economic zone “Alabuga” with participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy Indira Kireyeva.
August company is the largest Russian manufacturer and supplier of plant protection chemicals. This plant became the second major investment project of the company in Tatarstan - in 2017 the agricultural enterprise “August-Muslyum” was launched.
“Today we are opening a new production facility at the Alabuga special economic zone, Rustam Minnikhanov said at the solemn ceremony. - Production is designed for import substitution, for export potential. Plants protection products are one of the most serious elements in order for our agro-industrial complex to be successful. It’s no secret that the bulk of plants protection products have always been purchased by us, and today, thanks to the August company, we can provide not only Russian consumers”.
The volume of investments in the project exceeded 4.5 billion rubles. Almost 120 jobs were created, and by the end of 2019, more than 200 are planned to be created.
The planned volume of production at the plant “August-Alabuga” - 50 million liters of liquid pesticides annually. There are at least five potential consumers in Tatarstan, including Agrosila, Krasny Vostok Agro, and Agro-Invest.
The production of the August company is already the 31st plant for the special economic zone “Alabuga”. In total, 57 residents are represented in the Alabuga SEZ.
“Firm “August” Joint-Stock Company for many years retains primacy in protection of field crops and is represented in more than 20 countries around the world. Production company “August” also operate in Kazakhstan, Belarus.
