A meeting of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy was held in Moscow

A meeting of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship was held in Moscow. Issues of invention and rationalization, intellectual property, engineering, child scientific and technical creativity were reviewed at the meeting.

The main topic of discussion was the intellectual property related state policy, as well as issues of commercialization and protection of the results of intellectual activity.

The meeting also addressed the issues of developing innovative activity as a tool for generating new knowledge and promising technologies, issues of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity, as well as the issues of developing legal framework for patenting and protecting the results of intellectual activity.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (Rospatent) and the Skolkovo Foundation presented reports on the mentioned topics.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ministet of Economy of Tatarstan Bulat Khaziakhmetov.
