On January 24, 2014 in the Ministry of the industry and trade of the Republic of Tatarstan the meeting with representations of the Republic of Tatarstan in foreign countries and subjects of the Russian Federation took place. Representatives of the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Agency of investment development, the ministries and the industrial enterprises of the republic took part in meeting in a mode of a videoconference. During a videoconference questions of involvement of investors on industrial platforms of the republic and advance of production of the Tatarstan producers in various regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries were discussed.

On January 24, 2014 in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan the working meeting in a videoconference format with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Association of innovative regions of Russia, public organization "Business Russia" and subjects of the Russian Federation on the subject "Positive Experience of Institutes Fraunhofer in Implementation of Projects on Increase of Competitiveness of Business in the Samara Region" took place.

The Republic of Tatarstan following the results of 2013 took the 1st place in the nominations "Minimum Economic Risks" and the 3rd place in the nomination "Creation of High-performance Workplaces" according to Expert RA rating agency. It should be noted that for the last years the Republic of Tatarstan by results of Expert RA rating agency researches steadily takes leading positions among regions of the Russian Federation on level of investment potential: Investment rating of the region — 1A (high potential – the minimum risk).

On January 23, 2014 in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan the executive director of Association of innovative regions of Russia Ivan Bortnik discussed with the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov a format of carrying out actions of Association in anticipation of the IX Kazan venture fair which will take place on April 24 the current year. The main objective of carrying out – to consider foreign and Russian experience of development of territorial clusters as instrument of increase of competitiveness of the region, and also interaction of the power, business and science within cluster work.

Within implementation of the Program of preparation of administrative shots for the organizations of a national economy of the Russian Federation in the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Tatarstan order taking for carrying out project-oriented foreign training in 2014году began. After the end of training according to the Program graduates are given opportunity to finish own project with the assistance of foreign practicians and experts, to come into the business contacts promoting successful implementation of the project, to master and put into practice necessary competences.

The Federal State Statistics Service order No. 21 of 14.01.2014 approved a method of calculation of indicators "A share of production of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in gross domestic product" and "A share of production of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in a gross regional product of the subject of the Russian Federation". The technique is intended for conducting monitoring of performance of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7, 2012 No. 596 "About long-term state economic policy" and for an assessment of efficiency of activity of executive authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation, and based on recommendations of statistical service of the European Union (Eurostat) and the Organizations for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) taking into account national features of development of branches.

On January 23, 2014 in Moscow meeting of the working group on modernization of monotowns took place at Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration under the chairmanship of the head of the working group, the vice-chairman of Vneshekonombank Irina Makiyeva. At meeting representatives of regions of Russia, including the Republic of Tatarstan also took part in a videoconference mode – the deputy minister of economy Marat Sharifullin, representatives of administrations of monotowns of the republic, and also commercial banks – partners of JSC Russian Bank of Support of Small and Average Business (JSC MSP Bank).

The representation subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Center of business support in Arsk will organize competition among school students on realization of an enterprise initiative among children and youth. Selection of business ideas and business projects started in January, 2014. Competitive selection includes two stages. At the first stage in January-February selection of applications for participation in a regional stage of competition is carried out. At the second stage in February-March winners of competition in the nominations "The Best Children's Business Project" and "The Best Children's Business Idea" will be defined.

On January 23, 2014 in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan the meeting of the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov with the director general of the JSC Biotekhnologii company (Moscow) Alexander Hermann and the director of investments and GR of JSC Biotekhnologii Natalya Torik concerning implementation of the investment project "the Protein of Russia took place. Hi-tech production of a proteinaceous concentrate from oil-bearing crops" in the territory of Industrial park "Chistopol".

Subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan the Center of export support of the Republic of Tatarstan passed certification on the international quality standard of ISO 9001. Obtaining this certificate is external independent confirmation of achievement of requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. ISO 9001 – the requirements directed on correctness of the organization of company management and process of decision-making, rendering services, systems of collecting necessary information, adjustment of system of interaction with clients.
