On May 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of business community. The meeting was held on Day of Russian Entrepreneur that is celebrated annually on May 26.
The event themed “Business and Authorities. Frank Talk” was organized by the Institute of the commissioner for protection of entrepreneurs’ rights under Tatarstan President.
On behalf of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and from myself personally I congratulate you with the Day of Russian business! In modern conditions business doesn't need proofs of its economic and social importance, and development of business became for Tatarstan one of strategic priorities. Business activity, irrespective of business scale, being a driving force of economic development, promotes creation of new workplaces, increase of a standard of inhabitants' living of the republic and competitiveness growth of Tatarstan. More than 140 thousand subjects of small and average business operate in Tatarstan and make a quarter of a gross regional product of Tatarstan.
Changes of the current legislation regulating business activity, information on programs of business support and how to use the measures of support operating in the republic will be shined in a broadcast. Representatives of authorities will tell about opportunities for business development, objects of infrastructure of business support, new industrial platforms in municipal areas of the republic.
On May 23, 2014 the Center of business support of the Republic of Tatarstan organized selection of investment projects. Members of advisory council considered six declared business ideas and discussed how to support each of contestants. Innovative projects in IT sphere, scientific and technical and agricultural sphere were submitted. The projects were presented by acting businessmen and also by the participants, only planning to begin business activity. The majority of participants already are owners of the registered patents.
The order of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 14, 2014 No. 816-r approved the programәа anti-corruption education for 2014 - 2016. Within this program realization of the actions directed on development, improvement of legal base and adoption of organizational and administrative decisions on providing conditions for increase the level of justice sense of citizens and promoting of anti-corruption standards of the behavior based on knowledge of general laws and duties is planned.
On May 23, Board Chairman of the Association of innovative regions of Russia Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of the Supervision Council of the Association held by Chairman of the Supervision Council Sergey Naryshkin within the framework of St. Petersburg international economic forum.
CEO of the Association of innovative regions of Russia Igor Bortnik presented annual report on results of work for 2013, including initiation of discussion platforms on developing clusters and tools to improve federal and regional legislation.
Members of the Association discussed plans of work for 2014.
On May 23, at a panel session within the framework of XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum dedicated to initial results of the national rating of the investment climate in Russia's regions, it was reported that Tatarstan was included in the top group of regions having the highest investment attractiveness.
In particular, Tatarstan together with Kaluga region (ranked first), Ulyanovsk region, Krasnoyarsk territory and Kostroma region is among top-ranked regions.
To the point, the rating is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the efforts made at all levels of government in order to improve the conditions for doing business and features the assessment of business expectations by 54 indicators. The most important of them are the regulatory environment (time period for issuing permissions), infrastructure and resources (quality of roads and land resources) and support for entrepreneurship.
n May 22, at a session “Not wasting a crisis: what (should) we have learned to better manage the global economy?” during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (May 22-24, 2014), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that today regions cannot deal with infrastructure problems without federal support.
Dean of the Department of free arts and studies of St. Petersburg State University Aleksey Kudrin, who was the key speaker at the session, asked Rustam Minnikhanov about the use of modern technologies and implementation of major projects in Tatarstan.
Answering the question, Rustam Minnikhanov told about the Association of innovative regions of Russia, which aims to inform federal authorities about problems faced by developing regions. He noted that every region has got certain experience and approaches to solving such tasks, however, it cannot deal with many problems without federal support.
On May 22, 2014 in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a video conference with municipal areas and city districts of the republic concerning connection and work in the Automated information system of AIS MFS. The meeting was held by the deputy minister of economy Ayrat Shamsiyev. Deputy minister of informatization and communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Zaripov, the head of State Budgetary Institution MFS Natalya Barkova and also representatives of 17 municipal areas of the republic and Executive committee of the city of Kazann participated the mitting.
On May 23, 2014 in the Ministry of Economyof the Republic of Tatarstan the Center of business support will hold meeting of council for selection an investment projects. The beginning is planned at 13:00, address: Kazan, Moskovskaya St., 55, room 326 . During meeting 6 projects will be considered. Experts previously discussed an order of projects selection during a business breakfast on May 20, 2014. The center of business support also organized a free seminar for businessmen on a public statement.
