On February 21, 2018, the XXIII meeting of the City Council of the Municipal Entity of the city  of Naberezhnye Chelny dedicated to results of social and economic development of the city in 2017, and goals for 2018 took place at the Naberezhnye Chelny City Palace of Children and Youth Arts with the participation of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Naberezhnye Chelny major Nail Magdeev.

Exhibition pavilions for the city entrepreneurs were arranged within the framework of the meeting. Head of Naberezhnye Chelny Business Incubation Center Ilya Kolesnikov presented President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov products of the Center residents.

Business Incubation Centers located in Chistopol, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, and Elabuga were established to provide state support to small business at the early stage of its development.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 23rd meeting of the city Council of municipal formation Naberezhnye Chelny.

The event was attended by Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev

The event was held at the site of the city Palace of children and youth №1 (Boulevard Floral, 16). An exhibition of goods and products of enterprises and organizations of Naberezhnye Chelny was held in front of the building and in the foyer of the Palace.

The main report was made by the mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny nail Magdeev.

"The city of Naberezhnye Chelny continues its sustainable development and occupies a leading position in the country in many socio-economic indicators, providing a comfortable environment for life and business," said nail Magdeyev. - Chelny implements major investment projects. The main result of our work has been a positive demography and an increase in the life expectancy of our citizens. For the first time in 17 years, the lowest unemployment rate has been achieved. The basis for improving the quality of life is the economy".

On February 21, at the Children and Youth Activity Center, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 23th meeting of City Council of municipality Naberezhnye Chelny.

Exhibition of goods and products of the enterprises and organizations of Naberezhnye Chelny was organized in front of the building and in the lobby of the Centre.

Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev made a keynote report.

“The city of Naberezhnye Chelny continues its sustainable development and holds leading positions in the republic in many social and economic indicators, providing comfortable conditions for life and business,” Magdeev said. “Naberezhnye Chelny implements large investment projects. The main result of our work has become positive demography and an increase of life expectancy of our citizens. The lowest unemployment rate has been achieved for the first time in 17 years. Economy is the basis for improving the quality of life,” he continued.

He reported that the gross territorial product has increased by two per cent, industrial production index amounts to 117 per cent.

Magdeev emphasized that the amount of attracted investments is the main indicator of the economy of the city. It amounted to 46 billion roubles in 2017 and remained at the level of the previous year.

Two years have passed since Naberezhnye Chelny obtained the status of Priority Social and Economic Development Area. 

As a result, 21 companies chose Naberezhnye Chelny as a place of doing their business. Since the launch of the project, additional investments of the residents amounted to 14 billion roubles, 2500 new jobs were created.

Minnikhanov emphasized that during his working visit to Naberezhnye Chelny, he visited Master Kama Industrial Park. Every year the Industrial Park is growing and increasing useful area which is already 850 square meters today.

Tatarstan President also emphasized that further development of KAMAZ Automaker, implementation of all its plans is very important for Naberezhnye Chelny. Besides, the factory is an excellent opportunity for the development of small and medium-sized business, Minnikhanov said, and, of course, KAMAZ Automaker is national pride.

He reminded that KAMAZ Master Team won the Golden Bedouin in a difficult competition for the 15th time.

Naberezhnye Chelny is the largest venue for sale of agricultural products, Minnikhanov said. He proposed to create conditions for the agricultural producers - farmers, holders of private farms to sell their products. A specialized site should appear in Naberezhnye Chelny for this purpose.

Speaking about the healthcare industry, Tatarstan President noted that the funds for the capital repair of Infectious Diseases Hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny will be allocated from the regional budget.

Ordinary meeting of the Board of Kama Innovative Territorial Production Cluster Non-Profit Partnership Association took place on February 20, 2018, at Tatneftekhiminvest-Holding OJSC.

In course of the meeting, members of the Board heard and discussed information on experience of interaction and prospects of extension of cooperation between companies and enterprises participating in Kama Innovative Territorial Production Cluster and the Agency for Technological Development, considered prospects of Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan Non-Profit Association development.

Within the framework of the meeting, the acting rector of Kazan National Research Technological University S. V. Yushko presented a report on innovative developments and promising projects of the university.

The Foundation for Presidential Grants announces the holding in 2018 of the two contests among non-profit non-governmental organizations involved in the development of civil society institutions that implement socially significant projects and projects in the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, to provide grants of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society.

Receiving of applications for G100K all-Russian accelerating contest for oil and gas start-ups is closing on 25.02.2018. The contest is arranged by North Energy Ventures established with the participation of   Russian Venture Company and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) with the investment support of Phystech Ventures.

Winners of the contest can expect project investments of $100 000 -1 000 000, as well as participation in a program aimed at project promotion among Russian and international oil and gas companies.

"How to Avail a Grant of the President of the Russian Federation for Implementation of a Social Project" training workshop for representatives of Tatarstan NPOs took place on February 16 at KNITU-KAI German-Russian Institute for New technologies as a video conference with the support of the Office of the President of the RT, Public Chamber of the RT, and Resource Center for NPO support. Over 400 participants registered for the workshop.

It shall be reminded, that already in February another contest will start for provision of grants to Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organizations, that take part in civil society institution development, implement socially important projects, as well as projects in the area of protection of human and citizen rights and freedoms. According to Ilya Chukalin, in current year, the total amount of grants will be RUR 8 bln.
