The status and development of competitive environment in the market of medical services (paid services) of the Republic of Tatarstan for the year 2016 has been monitored

From 2015 under the implementation of the Standard of competition development in the Republic of Tatarstan, approved by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 5 September 2015. No. 1738-R, the status and development of the competitive environment of the markets of goods, works and services of the Republic of Tatarstan are monitored annually. We present to your attention the results of the monitoring of the status and development of competitive environment in the market of medical services (paid services) of the Republic of Tatarstan for the year 2016.

Under the monitoring surveyed 51 respondent operating at the market of medical service.

Most companies noted the relatively low barriers to entry of entrepreneurs into the market and the General state of competition as favorable.

Only a third of respondents noted moderate, and weak competition, the majority of respondents assess the level of competition as high (37.5 per cent) and very high (29.2 per cent).

About the stimulating role of competition testify responses to the question about the impact of competition on the business. 50% believe that competition is useful for business development. More than 45% of respondents tend to the neutral estimates.

Concerning question how the company has improved the competitiveness of products in the past, the largest number of respondents indicated staff training (70,8%). In second place – a new marketing strategy (54,2%). 41,7% acted by reducing costs, the same companies purchased new equipment.

It should be pointed out that the majority of respondents (29.2 percent) believe that the authorities are helping the business by their actions. The same number believes that the actions of the authorities help a little and bother a little. 12.5% indicated at the need for more active participation of the authorities in their activities.

According to the survey most of the respondents indicated as the main barriers  the instability of legislation regulating business activities (29.2 percent), and complexity / slowness of the procedures for obtaining licenses, state support funds, permits, approvals (29.2 per cent) and difficult access to supply (29,2%), so in order to increase competition in the market of medical services offers the following  

1) Promote interaction and cooperation with other regions in the provision of medical services.

2) Provision of legal advice and clarification in order to obtain permits for medical activity.

3) Increasing of the control over the quality of services in private clinics

We recall that activities aimed at increasing the level of competition in the Republic of Tatarstan included in the adopted road map for the promotion of competition in the framework of the implementation of the standard of development of the competition in subjects of the Russian Federation.

The standard of competition development aimed at creating conditions for developing competition on the markets of goods and services in the region, and the transparency of the regional authorities, creating incentives for the protection of subjects of small and medium business and elimination of administrative barriers.

According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan from 6th May 2014 799-R the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is the authorized body of Executive power of the Republic of Tatarstan to promote competition development in the Republic of Tatarstan.
