Today, June 1, the official delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, led by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, takes part in the 21st St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2017), which is held from June 1 till 3 under the slogan "In Search of a New Balance in the Global Economy". Artiom Zdunov has represented the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister among the members of the republican delegation.
The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold talks with representatives of foreign and domestic companies, including MSD International, IBM, Scheider Electric, Rockwool International, RusHydro, etc. Moreover, a number of cooperation agreements will be signed.
On the first day of the forum, there have been planned meetings with Horst Seehofer, the Prime Minister of Bavaria, Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Aleksei Dumin, the Governor of the Tula Region, Sergei Levchenko, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region, Dmitrii Kobylkin, the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.
On the second day, June 2, the delegation will take part in several major events: presentation of the results of the national rating of the investment climate in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the meeting of the heads of Russian regions with Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, as well as in the SPIEF 2017 plenary session, where Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, is expected to hold a speech.
Within the framework of the SPIEF-2017, a total of 108 business events will be organized. 39 ministers from 26 countries, heads of 72 Russian regions, 250 heads of largest foreign companies, over 700 heads of Russian companies will take part in the forum. The total number of participants will be more than 5 thousand persons.
