Naberezhnye Chelny entered the top ten mono-cities of the country

On May 31, 2017, the 3rd Russian Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship Forum (SME Forum) was held on the zero day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. More than ten sessions were held within the framework of the business program of the SME Forum.

The panel session of "Mono-city - New Business Opportunities" named the top ten mono-cities of the country in the last year. Naberezhnye Chelny was among the leaders.

The rating took into account the work of the authorities in the improvement of the situation in single-industry cities, attraction of investments and creation of new jobs that are not related to the activities of city-forming enterprises.

The framework of the "Mono-City - New Business Opportunities" panel session, moderated by Irina Makieva, the Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank, provided for discussions on approaches to increase the investment attractiveness of the regions, as well as demonstrate the opportunities and advantages for doing business in single-industry cities. The participants of the session comprised Igor Shuvalov, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Ilya Krivogov, the General Director of NGO "Fund for the Development of Single-Industry Citiwa", Alelsandr Braverman, the General Director - Chairman of the Board of the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, heads of Russian regions and cities. Minister Artem Zdunov and Deputy Minister Natalia Tarkaeva as well as others represented the Ministry of Economy in the panel session.
