The Chemist's Day was celebrated in Nizhnekamsk

The Chemist's Day was celebrated in Nizhnekamsk on May 23. The Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Alexei Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and Trade of the RT - Albert Karimov, Deputy Director of the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Timber industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation - Alexander Orlov, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of RT-  Tatyana Vodopyanova, Head of Nizhnekamsk municipal area - Aidar Metshin, as well as representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic became the honorable guests of the holiday.

In total more than 4 thousand of people-managers and employees of the enterprises of the chemical industry, teachers, schoolchildren and university students of the Republic took part in celebrating the Chemist's Day in the Ice Palace "Neftekhimik".

The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mayor's office of Nizhnekamsk, PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", GC Taif, PJSC Tatneft and KNITU.

Before start of the celebrations, the participants examined the exhibition of products from enterprises in the petrochemical cluster in the republic. The newest achievements in the field of mining, processing and transportation of petroleum, petrochemical, environmental protection, production of synthetic rubbers, plastics and innovative technologies were offered for the attention of the guests. PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", the group of companies "Tatneft", "TAIF", JSC "Kazanorgsintez",  JSC" TASMA "and others showed their expositions.

The celebration began with a colourful theatrical prologue, after which the Head of the Nizhnekamsk municipal area - Aidar Metshin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Vladimir Busygin and General Director of JSC "Tatneft" Nail Maganov were invited to the scene.

In his welcoming speech, the Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Head of Nizhnekamsk district - Aidar Metshin noted that the success of Nizhnekamskneftekhim was in personal initiative, responsibility of each employee. "At the present time the set of production virtues guarantees that petrochemists will write a new page in their history and make a significant contribution to the development of Nizhnekamsk and Tatarstan," he said.

Tatyana Vodopyanova - Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of RT congratulated the best people in profession.

Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and Trade of the RT- Albert Karimov presented awards to the winners in the nomination "Leader in the field of processing polymer products in the Republic of Tatarstan".

In addition, the scientists, industrialists, scientists, innovators who have made great contribution to the development of chemical science were congratulated on the big scene.

The official part of the event was concluded by the Prime Minister - Alexei Pesoshin. He congratulated all petrochemists of the Republic of Tatarstan, on behalf of the President with their professional holiday. The Prime Minister stressed that petrochemistry was the engine of growth of the economy of the Republic. Next, the ceremony of awarding the leading employees of Tatarstan’s petrochemical plants took place.
