We cherish this day for everything - it contains a part of history of each family. Today we bow down low in front of your feat, dear war veterans, workers of rear, concentration camp prisoners, widows, children of war. After going through the pain, loss and suffering, you showed indomitable spirit, withstood and defeated the strongest aggressor who kneeled all Europe! You changed the world and made everything for the words "Russia" and "Russians" to sound proudly.

The firestorm did not reach the city of Naberezhnye Chelny as the city was far from the front. Our city made a significant contribution to the Great Victory. Fourteen thousand of our countrymen left for the front from the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. More than 5 thousand of them died defending their homeland. Their names are immortalized in granite of the Memorial Complex. We bow our heads before the bright memory of all who did not return from the war, who did not survive to see today's Victory celebration. They will remain forever in our hearts. Today we are going to go with them in a single order of the Immortal Regiment,"- said Mr. Nail Magdeev.

The first peace salute which was made on may 9  about the end of the most terrible and bloody war in the history of mankind. For winning  in this war our multinational people paid a huge, great price. The memory of the tens of millions of victims, thousands of devastated towns until now  responds with pain in the heart of each of us, demanding to prevent a recurrence of the horrors of slavery and Nazi insane destruction of the achievements of world civilization. From more than seven hundred thousand people of Tatarstan who left for the front, nearly half did not return home. Each of us has an infinite debt before already deceased and now living veterans, who unitil now are the living example of steadfastness and heroism for the young and the current defenders of the Motherland.
