As it was reported by All-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized business “Opora Rossii” on the state of competition in Russia, the intensification of competition continues to be one of the main problems of business, based on the polling conducted by the organization in 2017, of 1,500 enterprises - small and medium entrepreneurship.
The results of the polling were sent to the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the preparation of an annual report on the status of competition in Russia.
Most respondents (69%) rated competition in their industry as “strong enough and very strong”.
It was reported that the number of those who noted competition intensification in 2016 was by 7% higher than past year level. Herewith in the last three months, the level of competition has increased more, so answered 43% of respondents.
Increased competition for the past year was noted by business representatives engaged in real estate (83%), communication services (75%) and information technology. Absence of changes in the market was noted only by agricultural companies’ representatives. According to companies’ representatives industries with the highest level of competition are: transport, media (including television and radio), communications and real estate.
