The Russian venture forum was opened in Innopolice

The Russian venture forum was opened in Innopolice today. This format came to replace venture fairs and other regional activities, the main auditorium of which are the innovative company start-ups in search of investment.

The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation – Mr. Andrei Fursenko, Assistant to President of the RT – Mr. Albert Nafigin, Vice Premier of the RT - Minister of information and communication – Mr. Roman Shaykhutdinov, Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan – Mr. Artyom Zdunov, Director of investment and venture fund of the RT – Mr. Ainur Ajdel'dinov, heads of ministries and departments. 

In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the venture had previously regional exhibition scale, today has the status of all-Russian Forum, which undoubtedly has a positive impact on its effectiveness. 

“I want to thank all the participants and guests of the event. There are good conditions for dialogue for finding new contacts and new projects. I wish you good work”, said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Mr. Andrei Fursenko in turn noted that Tatarstan always observed the right balance between tradition and innovation, remaining among the leaders in the development of the innovation sphere. “I am confident that this relationship will always be the hallmark of Russian venture forum “, he added. 

After the opening ceremony the honorable guests familiarized themselves with the exhibition. The exhibition was presented in three parts: technology companies - applicants participating in the accelerated program, innovative infrastructure of the Republic of Tatarstan and the interactive exhibition “Hi, Future”.

444 innovative companies from the whole Russia and 11 countries of the world, including USA, Ireland, Estonia, Finland and others applied for participation in the forum and acceleration program. Information technology, hardware (gadgets and devices), new materials, oil and gas, the medicine of the future, biotechnology turned out to be the most popular spheres. 50 applications were approved for participation in the forum.

Within the framework of the Forum the IVth Russian technological tour to be held in conjunction with the European Tech Tour Association will take place

In the afternoon the participants of the Russian venture forum will be able to participate in the work of 7 different round tables, seminars and conferences. In particular the programme of discussion “Accelerators: the Renaissance of the early stages of the market VS the new mode of infatuation”, round tables “Universities and Research centres: how to build communication with business”  “Dispute settlement mechanism in the Russian venture market” and others.
