Today, the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by a delegation of the Association of Innovative Russian regions

Today within the scope of the Russian venture forum the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by reps of the regions-members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia.

The delegation, headed by Deputy Director of the Association - Mr. Dmitry Fedorishhe, included reps of 9 regions: Altay and Krasnoyarsk Region, Kaluga, Tula, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tyumen and Ulyanovsk Region, Republic of Mordovia.

The innovative experience of Tatarstan is of practical interest for other regions.

A particular interest on the part of the Association’s reps was expressed to a successful experience in realization of the project “Map of inhabitants of the Republic of Tatarstan”, which was launched in Zelenodolsk in partnership with Mastercard international payment system at the end of 2016.

According to the annual Mastercard MasterIndex study, payment innovation is of demand for the Russians. Modern payment technologies contribute to the development of urban infrastructure: help to render faster services for transport passengers, make the provision of social benefits and preferential services simpler and more transparent, to solve a variety of daily tasks, to facilitate the identification of the residents with just one payment and identification of the product - a modern multifunctional banking card, increase the attractiveness of cities as tourist and business centers.

In Zelenodolsk the delegation familiarized with the project, which used innovative technologies in a city with a population of 75 268 inhabitants of a modern digital infrastructure (7 places in card issuance bank branches and social protection, 100 shops where you can get a discount when paying by Card, 90 buses taking the card, 10 Terminals for fixing appointments, installed in each clinic, 25 infomats to obtain electronic services, 260 organizations issuing cards of employees). 

Head of Zelenodolsk region - Mr. Alexei Tygin noted that the use of the multifunctional banking card Mastercard with modern electronic chip and contactless payment technology services allowed residents to solve a variety of tasks, ensuring a comfortable and quality accommodation in the city.

When using the “Resident card” the following processes were demonstrated:

• Issuing, applying for the appointment of social support in PJSC “AK Bars” Bank;
• Making entries in the electronic medical record and fixing appointment with the doctor, prescription medication and dairy food, work in the Pharmacy at children's Polyclinic No. 2 of Zelenodolsk;
• Payment in public transport by means of contactless method and by transport applications.

Also today, the delegation visited the Regional Engineering Centre “KAI Laser” in the city of Kazan. Production Director Mr. Oleg Krotov briefed representatives of the Association region with high-tech equipment and told about the usage of opportunities of the engineering center.

In the end of the visit, the head of GUP “Agency under the State order for interregional relations and investment activity in the Republic of Tatarstan” Mr. Jakov Geller has demonstrated a high level of competences of Tatarstan in the field of electronic trading to the delegation.
