In Russia the ban on government purchases at the offshore companies is imposed

On August 3 amendments to the Federal law "About contract system in the sphere of purchases of goods, works, services for ensuring the state and municipal needs" will come into force. They impose a ban on implementation of the purchases at suppliers which are the offshore companies from the point of view of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

In the new law it is accurately defined that the offshore zone shouldn't be a place of registration of the participant of purchase. In this regard the obligation of the commission on implementation of purchases, and also customers and operators of an electronic platform to check compliance of the participant of purchase to such requirements is established.
