The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko held a meeting of Council for questions of intellectual property

Action took place in Moscow on May 22, 2015. The concept of long-term state Strategy in the field of intellectual property became a subject of discussion. Members of council, the invited experts, students of the Russian academy of intellectual property (RGAIS) participated in a meeting. The Republic of Tatarstan the Deputy General Manager for Research represented SUE RT "Tatarstan Center of Scientific and Technical Information" Rady Salimov.

In her speech Valentina Matviyenko noted that "complex development of all system of public, organizational, economic relationship in the sphere of creation and commercialization of intellectual property is necessary. Are for this purpose necessary not only laws, but the accurate action program with clear reference points and specific goals on prospect. Strategy in the field of intellectual property has to play such role."

The vice-chairman of Council, the First deputy chairman of Committee of Council of Federations for science, education and culture Victor Kosourov made the report on results of activity of Council in three years.  

The main report was made by the deputy minister of science and education of the Russian Federation, the cochairman of the interdepartmental working group on development of the concept of Strategy Lyudmila Ogorodova.

The senior vice-president for legal and administrative matters of Skolkovo Foundation Igor Drozdov, the presiding judge by the intellectual rights Lyudmila Novoselova, the auditor of Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation Vladimir Katrenko took part in discussion.
